IP Camera Sensor

Monitors IP cameras over HTTP/S and ONVIF, capturing snapshots to confirm the camera is working and alerting when the image stops matching its reference. HTTP/S, ONVIF

NetCrunch's IP Camera Sensor efficiently monitors your camera systems, capturing snapshot images to verify connectivity. These images are displayed in the node status window and can also be integrated into network maps using the Snapshot Image widget for enhanced visual monitoring.

Predefined Alerts

The sensor is equipped with essential alerts to maintain the security and functionality of your camera system:

  • Connection Error
Triggered when the sensor fails to connect to the camera.
  • Authentication Error
Notifies you in case of issues with camera authentication.

Image-Related Alerts

These alerts are specifically designed to monitor changes or anomalies in camera images:

  • Alert if Camera Image Differs from Reference
This alert is raised when the current image differs from a predefined reference image. The sensitivity can be adjusted:
    • Low: Suitable for areas with varying lighting, such as rooms with windows.
    • Medium
    • High: Best for areas where lighting remains constant.
  • Alert if Camera Image May Be Tampered
Triggered when the image appears obscured or covered, indicating potential tampering.
  • Alert if Camera Image Has Changed
Raised when any change is detected in the image, depending on the sensor’s monitoring interval.
  • Alert on Motion Detection
Activated when differences between the current and previous images suggest motion, deactivating when the image stabilizes.

All image-related events from the IP Camera Sensor offer enhanced event detailing: - They display the involved image in event details. - They can include the image in email notifications (HTML format) for immediate reference.
