AD Replication
Checks a Windows Domain Controller (DC) for replication errors
Apache Web Server
Monitors Apache Server connections and internal performance metrics
Basic HTTP
Sends basic HTTP requests (GET, HEAD, or POST) and validates response code or content.
Basic IPMI
This sensor monitors system temperatures, voltages, and fan rpm using IPMI.
Basic SIP
This sensor monitors the connectivity to the SIP server and can test the session initiation.

Cloud Email Services (Gmail, Outlook, OAuth2)
NetCrunch includes dedicated sensors for monitoring cloud-hosted email services such as Gmail and Outlook. These sensors offer the same diagnostic functionality as traditional email sensors but use OAuth 2.0 authentication instead of basic credentials.
Data Email
This advanced sensor can trigger alerts by filtering emails and parsing email's subject and body for metrics and statuses.
Data File
Loads data from a file using one of the predefined file formats or by using Data Parsers. It also Alerts on retrieved metrics and status values.
Data Receiver
This sensor allows receiving data from an external source - a remote agent using REST API.
Dell EMC
Monitors the overall health status and power consumption and the filesystem, LUN, and pool parameters of a Dell EMC storage device using the Unisphere® Management REST API.
DELL iDRAC IPMI
This sensor is preconfigured to monitor a Dell iDRAC device over IPMI.
Device Config
Tracks changes to device configurations and stores multiple backups of device configurations using the telnet or SSH protocol.
DICOM C-Echo
The sensor monitors the availability of DICOM-capable devices by sending C-ECHO requests.
DNS Query
Sends a query to the DNS to check the name or address and validates the response. It allows checking any DNS record response.
Docker Container
Monitors CPU, Memory, Interface utilization, and status of a Docker container, using REST.
Email Round-Trip
Tests email server by sending an email to the mailbox and reading it back. It can measure the time to send and receive the message, availability, and authentication.
File
Checks remote file presence, size, and modification.
File Shares
Monitors Windows file share state.
Folder
Checks folder content, authentication settings, and other conditions.
Generic IPMI
This sensor monitors system temperatures, voltages, fan rpm, current, altitude, etc. using IPMI.
GitLab Cloud Sensor
This sensor monitors the latest build/job status on a specific project in the GitLab cloud repository.
HP iLO IPMI
This sensor is preconfigured to monitor an HP iLO device over IPMI.
HPE 3PAR StoreServ
Allows monitoring of the performance of HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage using Web Services API.
IBM IMM IPMI
This sensor is preconfigured to monitor an IBM IMM device over IPMI.
ICMP Jitter
The sensor sends a series of ICMP packets and calculates Jitter based on responses.
INodes
This sensor monitors free inodes on Unix/Linux-based systems.
IP Camera
The sensor gets a snapshot image from the camera and checks the connectivity.
IPMI Log
This sensor monitors the IPMI System Event Log(SEL)
LDAP Authentication
Checks the user authentication process via LDAP which is used by directory services such as MS Active Directory.
Mailbox
The sensor monitors the email mailbox. It checks the authentication process and mailbox usage. It can track counters such as 'Number of Messages', 'Size of Largest Message', and 'Size of Messages'.
Meraki Cloud
Monitors a Cisco Meraki organization through the Meraki Dashboard REST API - device availability, wireless performance, network client statistics, connection health, and license status. Networks and devices are discovered automatically.
Meraki Wireless
Monitors an individual Meraki wireless device - its state, CPU, memory, channel utilization, packet loss, and latency. Added per device from the Devices view of the Meraki Cloud sensor.
MS SQL Server Instance
Allows monitoring of a specific SQL server instance without duplicating the monitoring pack. You can add a sensor for each SQL server instance with a single click.
NAKIVO Backup and Replication
The sensor integrates with NAKIVO Backup & Replication by polling its REST API. It collects repository state, backup storage usage, and job/task statistics to monitor system health and performance.
NetApp ONTAP
Allows monitoring of NetApp storage components' health and performance using ONTAP REST API.
NetApp SANtricity
Allows monitoring of NetApp storage components' health and performance using SANtricity REST API.
Palo Alto Firewall
monitors IPSec site-to-site VPN tunnels configured on the Palo Alto device. By default, the sensor alarms when the state of any tunnel becomes non-active. It also allows for the monitoring of specific tunnels.
Pending Reboot Sensors
This sensor checks a Windows machine for pending reboots using WMI.
Pingdom Sensor
This sensor monitors the status of the selected Pingdom check and response time of a monitored webpage
Printer
The sensor monitors printer status, alarms, and properties using SNMP. The device must support the Printer MIB.
Process
Monitors process instances.
Process Group Summary
Monitors the summary values of multiple processes (process group).
RADIUS
The sensor checks the user authentication process and validates the response from the RADIUS server.
Registry
This sensor uses WMI to monitor Windows Registry objects specified by path. It alerts you when a subkey or value list is changed.
Registry Counters Sensor
This sensor uses WMI to get and monitor numeric values from the Windows Registry. It can utilize thresholds in NetCrunch to monitor various scenarios
Remote Ping
Checks connectivity from a remote system by running Ping remotely.
Remote SSH Script
The sensor executes the script on the remote system and processes the output through the selected Data Parser to get alerts, metrics, or status objects.
REST HTTP
Sends HTTP request and validates response code or response content.
Script
The sensor executes the script locally on the NetCrunch Server machine and processes the output through the selected Data Parser to get alerts, metrics, or status objects.
SQL Query:Data
Allows executing a query returning multiple rows. Columns can be used as a source for metrics. These metrics enable the triggering of various threshold alerts.
SQL Query:Object
Allows executing a query returning a single row. It can also be used with an empty query for checking database authentication and connectivity. The row can represent an object, and columns represent object properties. The sensor allows setting an alert on object properties status.
SSH Remote Ping
Checks connectivity from a remote system by running Ping remotely.
SSL Certificate
Checks the SSL certificate expiration date and the certificate properties.
Static Status
This sensor has a customizable status.
System Uptime
Checks the device's uptime.
TACACS+
Checks the server connectivity and tries to authenticate a specified user. Sensor requires - TACACS server shared secret - used for data encryption and user (with password) to authenticate
Text File
Checks file content, authentication parameters, file size, change time, file presence, and more.
Text Log
Monitors text log entries. For FTP or HTTP, the whole file is downloaded. Otherwise, it will be analyzed remotely and incrementally.
Time Difference
Checks the time difference between a remote machine and the reference machine (NetCrunch Server or NTP server).
Traceroute
The sensor traces the route to the node's IP address and measures the number of hops.
Veeam Backup and Replication
This sensor allows monitoring of the state of all Veeam jobs and the capacity of backup repositories.
vSphere vCenter Server
The sensor will automatically switch detected ESXi machines to vCenter mode. Features such as active alarms and configuration issues are available in vCenter mode only.
WBEM Data
The sensor allows selecting the WBEM class and instance key to retrieve object properties. It allows setting alerts on performance counters only.
WBEM Object
The sensor monitors a specific WBEM object without writing a WQL query. In addition to the WBEM Data sensor, it requires you to set an instance value. The sensor also allows setting alerts on performance counters and treats each object's numeric property as a counter. Additionally, it allows for tracking status properties.
WBEM WQL Query: Object
It allows retrieving data of specific CIM Class instances by writing a WQL query. The query must point to only a single instance.
Web Page
Checks web page contents and page loading process. The sensor loads the page just like a regular browser, with all resources (images and scripts)—the sensor alerts on-page content, authentication errors, or resource load errors.
Web Transaction
Replays a recorded multi-step browser transaction and reports which named checkpoint failed. Failure details carry a screenshot of the page at the failed checkpoint.
Windows Configuration - Hardware, Software, Hotfixes
NetCrunch can collect information about Windows machines' hardware, installed software, and hotfixes.
Windows DHCP Server
Monitors a Windows DHCP Server and its scopes over WMI - address pool usage, lease state, and MAC filtering. Alerts on scope exhaustion risk and on declined leases, which indicate a probable IP address conflict.
Windows Task Scheduler
Monitors the status of Windows Task Scheduler tasks. It allows triggering an alert if task configuration has changed or if a task has not run as scheduled.
Windows Update
The sensor monitors the status of Windows updates on a computer and triggers alerts when updates have not been installed.
WMI Battery
Monitors the internal battery or UPS connected to the computer system. Alerts when AC power is lost, the battery level is low or discharged, and on battery hardware error.
WMI Data
Allows selecting WMI class and instance key to retrieve object properties (no query).
WMI HDD Health
Monitors HDD Health with S.M.A.R.T technology.
WMI Object
Monitors specific WMI objects without the need to write a WQL query.
WMI Perfmon
Provides Perfmon interface through WMI. Allows selecting objects and counters like in regular Perfmon - no cryptic WMI classes needed
WQL Query:Object
It allows querying WMI for an object and triggering alerts on the object state.
