Microsoft 365 Service Status

This sensor allows you to monitor the health of Microsoft 365 services.

The sensor monitors the state of Microsoft 365 services and alerts you if any services are degraded or interrupted. You can also define an alert for a selected service. Then the sensor reads detailed information about service failure, e.g., which service feature is affected and how the problem affects users.

Requirements

The Office 365 Management APIs use Azure AD to provide authentication services that you can grant NetCrunch access to. To allow NetCrunch access to the Office 365 Management APIs, you need to register your application in Azure AD.

Specify the Microsoft Graph API permissions and select "ServiceHealth.Read.All".

Then you have to create a new application secret for authentication. Detailed instructions can be found in the Microsoft documentation at: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/office-365-management-api/get-started-with-office-365-management-apis

Options

The sensor needs an Application ID, a Tenant ID, and an Application Secret to authenticate with Azure.

Alerts

By default, the sensor alerts you when any Microsoft 365 service is in a degraded or interrupted state. If you need detailed information about the status of a specific service, you must create an alert for that service.

Reports (Data Collectors)

By default, the sensor collects statistical data on the number of services in different states, such as Services\Operational, Services\Degraded, and Services\Restoring. The metrics will be collected and available as a report or through Performance Trend Viewer
