Configuration Wizard
Configure automatic Monitoring Packs, set credentials for different systems, set up NetCrunch users, and profile for the Administrator. Customize the default alerting script.
tabMonitoringAreas
Automatic Monitoring Packs
Each Monitoring Pack includes the definitions of alerts and the data that NetCrunch needs to collect. NetCrunch includes predefined Monitoring Packs that are bound to nodes using filtering rules.
tabCredentials
Monitoring Credentials
To monitor anything, NetCrunch must connect to various systems using the proper credentials. You can set all default credentials (to be used if you do not set a specific one for the node) for supported operating systems (Windows, Linux, BSD, macOS, Solaris, ESX/i).
If NetCrunch runs in the Domain, it connects using NetCrunch Server account credentials by default.
See: Windows Monitoring Setup
tabAlertingScript
Notification Scheme
All predefined alerts use the Default Alerting Script. You can edit it later in detail, but you can make some preliminary settings here.
